Each year, Splash Creative researches the design of high-performing events hosted on the Splash platform, embarking on a journey to understand what turns invitees into guests. Through meticulous analysis, the team uncovers invaluable insights that not only fuel design services and strategic consultations but also guarantee a top-tier, data-driven approach to crafting event themes. This analysis informs creative direction, empowering event organizers across the Splash platform to navigate event design with confidence and flair.
- events with the 100 highest attendance rates with guest lists with over 100 attendees (which meted out to larger, tentpole events),
- events with the 100 highest registration rates (which produced a list of smaller, more intimate events), and
- events hosted by organizers who responded to a poll asking what their most successful events of the year were and what made them successful
Splash Creative analyzed these events with 64 distinct metrics.
To correct for discrepancies, events with lower page views than registrants were eliminated since this indicated that the page design was not viewed / not a factor in event success. Inversely, events with high pageviews and low registration numbers, regardless of registration rate, were also eliminated.

However, page color tint and pitch (the “darkness” of a color) also correspond to the time of day in which the event takes place: successful events starting before 5pm had an average tint of 88%, while events starting after 5pm had a slightly darker average tint of 76%
